Riparian Baths, 2022. A subterranean spa seamlessly embedded within a desert grove sanctuary, featuring terraced sunken courtyards and a variety of earthen pools. Designed to honor the historical significance of Steampump Ranch, the project minimizes visual impact while harmonizing with the natural terrain. Open-air courtyards incorporate aqueducts that circulate and reuse water, highlighting sustainability and connection to nature. Visitors experience a tranquil retreat with pools of varying temperatures, saunas, and cold plunges, all celebrating the site’s environment and history.
