Capstone Year
Seattle Sketches, 2025. For Christopher Domin’s Metaphysics of Light research and inquiry capstone, we traveled as a class to Seattle. It was cold during our visit, but I loved the trees and the lush greenery throughout the city. I had a great time with my classmates exploring neighborhoods, investigating potential sites for our projects, and getting a feel for what building in Seattle might be like. I chose a picturesque site on a hill next to the Carl S. English Botanical Gardens at the Chittenden Locks. One night, by complete chance, we stepped into a jazz bar where I ran into my old friend Joan, who happened to be drumming there. It was a wonderful and unexpected moment.
