Film Photos in London, 2024. London fascinated me in ways I hadn’t anticipated. The scale of its buildings surprised me, especially in the charmingly small-scale neighborhoods where we stayed, with most structures only three or four stories tall. Outside the industrial downtown near Big Ben, much of the city felt quaint and calm, with gardens and green spaces lending it a dreamy, peaceful atmosphere. One highlight was a ska music festival I attended with my dad, a full-circle moment as he shared stories of his past travels and concerts across Europe. We explored his favorite spots around the city, including places with meaningful family history. The abundance of parks throughout London felt like multiple “Central Parks,” each offering a unique experience. My family and I wandered these parks, visited the British Museum, and enjoyed incredible food, including some of the best Indian cuisine I’ve ever had in central London. A scenic river cruise in a small town, underground concerts, and vibrant subcultures brought London’s urban energy to life. This trip was an amazing blend of history, art, and culture, all captured on 35mm film.
