Film Photos in Munich, 2024. Getting to Munich was an unexpected adventure. Originally booked for Innsbruck due to sold-out tickets, I discovered mid-journey that the train was actually heading to Munich, my intended destination. Without a reserved seat on the Austrian network, I spent five hours sitting in the bike cargo hold under some German mountain bikes. Near Innsbruck, I pretended to sleep as the conductor cleared out other riders without tickets to Munich. Somehow, it worked out. I spent my 23rd birthday exploring the city, an unforgettable day filled with wandering and discoveries. The English Garden was a highlight and a must-see for anyone visiting Munich. Unfortunately, I dropped my film camera during the trip and had to replace it in Vienna the next day. Captured on 35mm film, these photos document a birthday and a journey I’ll never forget. Also this group of Australians sang me happy birthday at the tram stop after overhearing my mom call me on the phone to wish me happy birthday which was really sweet.
