Film Photos of Bauhaus in Dessau, 2024. Visiting the Bauhaus in Dessau was a profound experience that reignited my passion for architecture. Ever since learning about its transformative impact on design and furniture, I’d dreamed of seeing it in person. Being there with my father and brother felt surreal, as the Bauhaus was a major inspiration for pursuing architecture. We toured the iconic facility, where I spent hours sketching, photographing, and absorbing the vibrant atmosphere. The space still felt modern and alive, more like a functioning school than a historical monument. One surprising detail was learning that beams, floor panels, and walls were crafted on-site using jigs and molds, turning the site into a construction workshop, which deepened my appreciation for the ingenuity behind the design. Touring the Masters’ Cottages, where legends like Paul Klee and Wassily Kandinsky once lived and taught, was equally inspiring. Walking through those spaces, imagining them painting and teaching, was unforgettable. This visit was a beautiful reminder of why I fell in love with architecture in the first place. Captured on 35mm film, these photos reflect the timeless genius of Bauhaus design.
