Light Leaks from Europe, 2024. While sharing my 35mm film photos from Europe with friends at architecture school in Tucson, they often commented on the beauty of the light leaks—an element I hadn’t initially considered showcasing. For those unfamiliar, light leaks occur when small gaps in the camera allow extra light onto the film, creating vivid bursts of color and texture that transform ordinary photos into something magical. Inspired by their feedback, I’ve curated a collection of some of the most striking light leaks captured during my travels. Each image tells a story not just of the places I visited, but of the imperfections and spontaneity that make film photography so unique.
